Commencement

Illinois Institute of Technology’s 157th Commencement took place in person at the Credit Union 1 Arena in Chicago, on Saturday, May 16, 2026. All graduates who completed degree programs in May 2026 and August 2026, along with December 2025 graduates, participated in the Commencement ceremony on May 16, 2026.
 

2026 Commencement Ceremonies

There were two separate, combined college-level ceremonies. The first combined ceremony for the Armour College of Engineering, Institute of Design, College of Architecture, and Stuart School of Business began at 9 a.m. (CDT). The second combined ceremony for the Lewis College of Science and Letters, and College of Computing began at 2 p.m. (CDT).

A separate Ph.D. Hooding Ceremony was held on Friday, May 15, at 10:30 a.m. (CDT) in the McCormick Auditorium in Hermann Hall on Mies Campus.

Commencement for Chicago-Kent College of Law took place at 2:30 p.m. on Sunday, May 17, 2026, at the UIC Dorin Forum.

Photos will be available to view and order by visiting the company’s website at www.gradimages.com (enter your last name followed by Illinois Tech for the school's name and then select 2026 for the graduation year from the dropdown menu). For additional help, call the Customer Service Department at 800.261.2576 or email ecc.giservice@gradimages.net.  

StageClip is the official personalized video clip vendor from Commencement ceremony that captures the graduate’s special moment on stage. Visit their website at www.stageclip.com. StageClip will send each student a dedicated link to view their unique clip. If you have pre-ordered a clip through Herff Jones, use the code you received via email to unlock your clip. For additional help, visit StageClip’s student support website.
